High Arches
Several years ago, I was in a traffic accident that messed up my hips and legs. I had constant pain in my hips. The medical profession could find nothing wrong, even after extensive tests. Recently, my feet had also begun to hurt. The pain was so intense that I was virtually crippled. I could barely walk.
My sister came to visit me and she immediately noticed the difficulty I was having. She asked some questions and then took me to buy new shoes and shoe inserts.
The accident had bruised the bottoms of my feet. Since I have very high arches, the outside of my feet were bearing all the weight. This kept them in a constant state of inflammation. Because of the pain, I walked incorrectly in order to minimize the pain. This led to hip problems because of the incorrect posture.
When I first put the inserts in my shoes to try them, it was like a miracle. The foot pain was so diminished that I could almost walk normally. I have not had any hip pain since I got the new shoes and inserts. My feey still hurt, but at a greatly reduced level. The pain its also different. It is more like muscles getting used to new types of works. It is diminishing steadily.
This condition is called plantar fasiitis. You can find out more about it here.
This debilitating condition can usually be treated fairly simply. If it goes on very long, though, it can be difficult to treat, so get on it early.
